I had this same problem about 4 months ago and it was due the supercharger not engaging. Found out it was due to the supercharger clutch not engaging when I smashed on the gas.

On a side note I had to get a lawyer involved because they originally told me they could not fix the problem, and told me to take the car back until the chrysler mechanics figured out the problem. It was amazingly fixed within 4 days. Car was in the shop for 3 weeks.
