Thank you all for your information! With the help of a block of wood, and some effort to pull the bumper cover away....the reluctant headlamp assembly finally came out. Once I was able to clearly see into the bays where the lamps live, it became obvious that there is an adjuster screw that independently moves the inner (high beam) lamp carrier. A 6 mm socket on a screwdriver type handle allows adjustment. So, back went the headlamp assembly, X-Fire down on the ground and ready to move outside. I had to wait 3 days for winds and snow to ease up a bit, before moving the vehicle outside at night to where alignment could be carried out on the garage door. Fifteen minutes of turning the major adjuster, and then the inner adjust brought all to near perfection! I've tried to attach a photo, and hope that it comes through OK.
