All the gasoline sold here in California is spiked with Ethanol, usually 10% to bring the octane rating up. So I wouldn't worry about corroding the fuel system of new cars since this has been taken into account for.
85% ethanol probably wont run in the Crossfire due to fuel mapping.
Might need bigger injectors too...otherwise Ethanol is awesome stuff from a performance standpoint, I forget but it might be around 103 or higher octane, but you need 10% gas for idling and cold weather starting. Not to mention it cleans the cylinder, pistons, and valves.
But if you think the crossfire is thirsty on regular gas, you'll be filling up that tank every day. fuel ratio is like 6:1 or is it 8.5:1? i forget...
