E85 - 85% Ethanol gas
I saw this today at station near my work, here is a link:

Anyone know anything about it or if Xfires can run on it?
It was $2.65 Gal.

Based on this list, I'd say it might be possible...for non SRT's at least.

Anyone know for sure about this stuff?

the XF will not run on ethanol; the most it will do is run on 10% ethanol added to gasoline as an oxidizer (seems to be a standard around long island; don't know what the percentages are in other parts).

The crossfire should run on e-85, but the question is if the fuel system will hold up. 85% ethanol will be very corrosive to the fuel system. A GM rep i talked to said the fuel system must be stainless to standup to the corrosive nature of ethanol. I don't know anything about the xfire fuel system so I don't know well the car will run/hold up to e-85. ps. don't drink the e85, i think the other 15% is gasoline...

All the gasoline sold here in California is spiked with Ethanol, usually 10% to bring the octane rating up. So I wouldn't worry about corroding the fuel system of new cars since this has been taken into account for.
85% ethanol probably wont run in the Crossfire due to fuel mapping.
Might need bigger injectors too...otherwise Ethanol is awesome stuff from a performance standpoint, I forget but it might be around 103 or higher octane, but you need 10% gas for idling and cold weather starting. Not to mention it cleans the cylinder, pistons, and valves.
But if you think the crossfire is thirsty on regular gas, you'll be filling up that tank every day. fuel ratio is like 6:1 or is it 8.5:1? i forget...
