I agree Steve, but ONLY if the ambient is below 50 F.
When it gets HOT ( 80 - 95 F ), I see up to 25 F higher IAT than ambient while cruising.
When I go up a hill, the IAT drops 2 or 3 degrees due to the increased airflow, but it also increases when I go down a hill.
