Default Re: rear window antenna replacement

I read that the antenna might be the problem. Any ideas?

The radio antenna is located in the rear window of the coupe model. It is in the same grid as the rear defroster, there is one line in the window for the AM and one line for the FM.

I took my car to an audio specialist (had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment) and he told me that the antenna was to short and that was the problem with the poor reception on the AM stations. He disconnected the antenna from the rear window and added a coiled length of antenna wire which he laid under the plastic covering on the inside of the window cover. This fixed the problem, hopes this helps others with bad radio reception.
