Do you have the PDF and see those pictures? If you are one of the unlucky ones and it is locked up then you have to drill out the retaining pin (step 16 in the PDF) to pull the assy out of the steering column. Then you can remove the pin and spring.
u dont really remove that pin, u must grind it down so the sleeve will slide to the right on the way to removal, if you have to remove the sleeve.
