A rebuild kit would only be of use if you had a leak past a seal. If the pedal slowly lets down I would say there is a leak in the system somewhere, but if there is no noticeable pedal let down there would be no need for a new seal except for just replacing it.
All seals leak a little, this is required the keep the faces oiled, but the amount is negligible.
