It wasn't built to be soaked in fluid all the time, it just gave up the fight.

I thought I saw the bolt holding that clamp below the line but since I didn't know for sure I didn't post with false info. Another thought (I get them often) was after the bushing rotted out, if 'chaffing' could have scored the line. Although probably not leaking in this location (that clamp), jacking it up and sliding under with a very bright light source and a couple rags should help (don't forget to place jack stands for safety). Given how many have successfully done the trans connector leak fix, your in good company to have it fixed quickly with all the help available, and at a very low cost.
