Got another call late in the afternoon saying that they wanted to keep the car overnight "to see if the airbag light goes off". Based on prior messages in this thread, beginning to wonder if they botched the procedure and do not have the correct tool to reset the light. Checked back with them this morning and all the service advisor could say was that they had their shop foreman working on it and had no new information yet. I'll post again later when they sort it all out for the benefit of other owners planning to get this done.
You might consider filing a complaint with FCA Recall website on this repair. FCA needs to know that their dealer network out there isn't totally qualified to make this repair without causing another issue. FCA is going to have to provide detailed instructions for performing this task (they may already do this) and clobber the dealers that don't follow that procedure creating more issues and/or work.

For those that have encountered this issue, might be worth filing a complaint on the Federal Recall website (NHTSA) so the Feds know various FCA dealers are doing this but creating other system faults that could lead to a malfunction. It is sort of a big deal if the Supplemental Restraint System isn't going to function properly after this recall repair!

I don't have any patience when it comes to incompetence from a dealer service department!
