You are correct...the PS 2's are standard and the Conti ASP's are an option ($185.00) as stated on the sticker. And there are 2 different types of Conti ASP tires.
Interestingly enough, I am looking at my sticker and it states:
"225/40ZR18, 255/35ZR19 Performance Tires" and no where does it states the type (Michelin or Contis) but mine did come with the Conti Sport. My options only lists the coat paint, two-tone interior, and 5-speed with autostick.
So maybe its based on having the Coupe, SRT or Roadster?
