Default Re: Bought 2008 Crossfire Coupe - Questions

WOW. This thread seems make people come up with bizarre nonsensical theories regarding ATF and engine Oil Changes. Change the engine oil when the FSS on the dash says to which is at most 7000 miles, use the correct weight synthetic oil.

For the ATF and filter, change them also, there would be nothing wrong with changing it at 60,000 but I would absolutely change it at 100,000. There is a section about how to do so in 2005_Crossfire_Service_Manual.pdf, it's called STANDARD PROCEDURE - FILTER CHANGE.
Never ever put used ATf back in.

It specifies MB and MOPAR ATF fluid part #s and also says "Synthetic Dexron III® Automatic Transmission Fluid may be substituted." I would use the Dexron because it's probably way cheaper and you should be able to get it at ANY auto parts store.

That's my 2 cents,hope it helps.
