Weclome clockman! A 'short' would be blowing fuses, I would heed the widely announced fact of NEVER going to a dealership (mostly called stealerships in the forum). Suggest you start downloading some of the documents like the service manual, owners manual, and various .pdf DIY documents here in the forum. You'll need a decent set of TORX tools for many of the things you can fix for a pittance of what a garage/stealership would charge. Have FUN!
