Grats on the work, hope it turns out, and ty for update.

One question?
Why use aluminum for the clips, planning on replacing the other part of the clip that mounts to the body in a complete different design???
And making the clips on trim larger and solid and trying to get the flex from the clips mounted on the body.
Trying to spring aluminum into factory clips will just crack, or I am really interested your design.
Figured the aluminum clip would cost alot more to manufacture then the oe style clips.

I have tried a couple different methods to reattach the clips to my top.
The 3M bold weld does it stay ply able?
I have found best luck with using windshield urethane.

Are you going to be forming the trim in plastic, fiberglass or carbon fiber, if cf color options?
Just qurious.
