Sorry, actually trying to describe this in written form is complicated. When I first crank it up, it'll idle fine. I can hit the gas pedal and it'll rev then drop back to normal idle. Now I shut the car off and turn it back on to make sure I dont get the high idle before actually start to drive...I hit the pedal the rpms hold at around 2k as if I'm still on the pedal but I'm not. You say when you first start, by that do you mean when it is cold and the first start of the day?
How long before it starts OK and the trouble starts again? After it has cooled down again?
I'm guessing air leak, did it just start acting like this suddenly?
