Actually if you were able to separate the pipe at the rear cats, the muffler section will swing backwards somewhat and the hangers are way easier to get off and on then.

Thanks, I had to cut the bolts even with the exhaust off car , I had no chance of separating it, they where a right mess. Everything was so rusted I couldn't tell what was bolt and what was clamp. I jacked the muffler up to release a bit of tension on them and removed the two rear splash shields which made things a bit easier and help save my remaining knuckles.
