Accelerates as it should, or sluggish?
Pull acouple plugs and take a look at them, post acouple pics.
I am thinking ignition problem, weak plugs, low voltage to coils, could be bad ground, when you start the car does it turn over nice and hard or alittle slow?
If all of that is good, then restricted air either inlet or exhaust.
Check filters
then a bottle of cata clean though it.

Can you drive it down the road at speeds, or will it not get high enough rpm to shift?

Electronic throttle body opening up?
