[QUOTE=onehundred80;894840]Changing the filter will not do it, Waldig said the smell went when he changed the headliner and used another type of cement (3M) to hold the headliner in place. Others have said the smell comes from the carpet. These cars use environmentally safe adhesives and that seemingly is the cause of the crayon odour.
The filter does make a smell if it is damp, always use an activated charcoal filter for the best results. If the filter is getting wet, look at the drainage vents under the cowl and clear out any debris under there while you are at it.[/QUOTE)

Our Roadster interior has always had it's own particular aroma, & no headliner. It has never bothered us. Carpet, maybe, or leather tanning/processing? For us it is simply another unique characteristic of our rather unique automobile.
And Welcome!
