It was a cool area. Maybe it's opened back up. I think Gary contacted someone to see if we could use that area. Not really sure thought. We could always use the bottom of the Dam and have Andy take epic shots from the top.
Yes I did have a contact with the Fontana Dam Conservation department in past years.
I have left a voicemail at the number I have for that department although I do not know if it is still valid number for the Fontana dam conservation officer.
I am also attempting to reach the Fontana marina and ask them if that bridge is still under construction or is again open.
I will post anything that I can find out back here as soon as I do and if I am able to I will reserve the lot across the bridge from the visitor center for all of us to park in Saturday morning for a photo shoot proceeding all of our daily runs
