Default Re: Rear subs/speakers vibrating

Hi Zip!
After spending more time on the Parts Express site, it dawned on me that my cone is torn, so the DIY fix won't help me. Now I'm shopping the 6.5" subs and it's been a bit hit or miss.

In my journey, I'm attempting to update the old list posted somewhere by Choppy. Many are no longer available, but I'd like to think better things have come along! I've got my eyes on Kicker CompRT 43CWRT671 or 2, but I must learn more about voice coils first. They both have two coils, but one is 1-ohm, the other 2.

$0.02: The capacitor fix was the first thing I did when I got my car, then upgraded the HU to all the bells and whistles (I love it blocking the bottom buttons vs. the comfort controls). I had my Infinity standalone sub installed in my trunk, but it only worked for a short time (power yes, sound no). Now I'm looking at the JBL BassProSL, but am not sure if the seat clearance is enough (unit stands only (2.1875 inches high).

Shopping on!
