You may want to visit the service manager at a high end dealer, such as Mercedes, BMW or Audi, since they are more likely to have a wheel vendor that takes care of their used cars with wheel rash.

This is really good advice. I found a wheel restoration service here in Greenville, SC one Sunday while cruising several car dealerships. At the Land Rover dealer, there was a wheel restorer working on a couple of Land Rovers on Sunday. Had a complete service center in his truck. He could remove the tire from the rim, perform any welding required, re-machine the wheel, apply paint (if req'd) & clearcoat, re-mount & balance the tire. Really something to watch him work. The results were amazing! Got a business card from him.
