Default Re: tire sizes to fit your car

first thing is to think about buying a set of 17 " rims and then getting a tire with a little more height, you want a tire with the middle # 45 example 215/45-18 is 25.6" tall this is good for the front and 255/45-18 is 27" tall or 245/45-19 is 27.7 tall see the chart below

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ighlight=tires

in the chart . tire size the crossfire has 25.5 tall on the front and the tallest you can go is 25.7,,the rear factory is 26" tall you can go 27.7"
first in the chart is tire size,--------------second is width of the tire,,,,,,,,,,,third is the (SH)
distance from the road to the rim (the more(higher the number) the more rubber you have between pot hole and rim) = less broken rims ,,,the last number is the hight of the tire (tall),, there are 5 pictures ,#1 shows what the crossfire came with and also shows a 17" tire that would be the best for the rear 245/50-17 I am not sure if you could find a mercedes rim in 17" to fit the front. ,mercedes wheels would be your best way to go,, after market cost lots, and you would need new lugs, making sure the rear lugs aren't too long as they will hit your em brake line. jim
