You put the largest Allen wrench that will fit in it and turn 90 degrees either way, that will remove the mirror.
Then you tighten up the spring mount.
Reverse for re installation.
The mirror is self tightening as I recall.
Here is how to detach and reattach the mirror.

Take it off and see what the problem is maybe the attachment is broken or bent
