Update: I filled up the hydraulic pump reservoir (fun times) and then used the button to open/close the top. The beeping has stopped. I can't be sure if it was Keith's method that took effect from me moving top up/down a few times manually and then turning off the car; or if the automatic function reset the system. I'll attempt to try the manual operation later once it stops raining #florida
Regarding Check Engine light from earlier:
I took the Crossfire to autozone and the diagnostic tool resulted in a Code P2098: "the PCM detected that the bank 2 lean correction limit for a condition causing a rich air/fuel ratio was greater than the maximum allowable limit.
P20989 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 2
P20989 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 2"
That's from the print out the Autozone employee gave me.
This is now off subject of the manual top operation and I'll find the right Topic in this forum to seek help.
I'll update again after I try the manual operation now that the beeping has stopped; see if I can successfully complete w/o triggering any alerts. Thanks!
