This is a SKREEM related issue. The SKREEM is not reading the RFID chip in the key, so it is doing the "Three strikes" thing. If you disconnect the battery and reconnect it, you will get three more start/dies before it refuses to turn over.
Caused by:
1) Bad SKREEM module
2) Using a key with no RFID chip in it (like when someone replaces the FOB but does not realize the little "raisin" in there is important and does not transplant it to the new FOB).
3) THe black ring around the ignition is not plugged into the SKREEM (no way you disconnected it, the SKREEM sits behind the speedometer).
4) SOme odd issue: No power to the SKREEM, etc.
