I just recently purchased a 2004 Crossfire coupe with 33K miles. It is a very well taken care of car. While going through the car I found 4 rubber plugs laying under the trunk floor near the jack. The part number on the plugs is
124 997 07 86. This appears to be a Mercedes Benz part number and Mercedes has it listed as a "Stop Plug" and also as "Plug, Side Member Front". I have looked under the car and I don't see where these 4 plugs would go. I have attached photos from a Mercedes website of the plug. I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.
The car came with those grommets, they go in holes In the front and back frame and fill in holes that were used to tie down the car on the transporter when delivered to the dealership that had the car to sell when new. Thats how I remember it anyway.
