I've spent around 25 hours so far on the XF to accomplish the following:
- The plasti dip has been removed from the blinkers, strakes, blinkers, front and rear emblems, and windshield trim. What a pain in the ***!
- Stripped the red paint from the plenums.
- Removed the DIY CAI and installed an OEM setup.
- Removed the hatch window tint that was bubbling.
- Changed the engine oil and filter.
- Changed the supercharger fluid.
- Removed the seats and thoroughly cleaned the interior with a carpet cleaner.
- Cleaned the floor mats.
- Removed the spoiler for cleaning and resealing of the hatch.
Here's a few before / after pics of the progress:
I found the best way to remove stubborn plasti dip was WD40. I tried GooBeGone but it was worthless.
Here's the DIY intake and painted plenums. The paint is chipping and cracking horribly on the plenums, and the intake is just and eye sore.
I spent several hours reversing all that back to OEM;
Removed the rear spoiler and should have it reinstalled and rear window tinted tomorrow.
Supercharger fluid is fresh again:
