Grip, that black paint is perfect for putting in a CF vinyl kit from Rvinyl, cost: about 50 semoleans and I think it looks good! You could get creative with Rvinyl, check it out.

Maybe I could clean/sand everything and have it hydro-dipped instead of the vinyl?

I've never owned a NA Crossfire, but I believe they are also susceptible to trunk leaks.
