Is it ok to remove the alarm and not install a working alarm? I really don't care if there is an alarm on my car. The key fob, door locks, and flashing lights seem to work the same. I can't see any reason to spend money for an item that I don't think I need. Please let me know if the alarm must be installed. Since my circuit board is burned to a crisp, I can't see how an alarm must be installed. I respect the members of this forum and wait for your comments. Thanks.

Yes you can remove the module, just be sure to wrap the connector in electrical tape to keep moisture out of the wiring. Good luck!
