Default Re: Soft Brake problem

Before I started the process of bleeding the brakes for this soft pedal issue, I decided to go ahead and replace the pads while I had the car up on stands. Everything went fine until I got ready to put the retaining springs back on the front brakes. Passenger side went right on and seated in the two holes. The drivers side will not seat all the way down in the holes, and I'm afraid it will come off. I was careful removing them, and I'm positive I didn't bend it out of shape. I'm not real keen on this design, even on the seated side, it just appears they could come off even when seated, but that's another story. Has anyone experienced this spring issue and found a solution?
