Ann Rappaport had a tech day and she's the one that found that 07s and 08s were "OK". The change was made either at the end of the 06 production or during that production year.
I know of no way to know other than get in there and find out.

I strongly suspect your car needs this fixed, unless someone already did it before you bought the car. Check the fuse card on the underside of the removable door, driver's end of dash - if it says "Sticky Key" on it, the fix has been done.
