That is not quite true, a large hole would mean the loss of pressure and coolant so much so that the car would overheat rapidly and there would be signs that showed where the leak was. A pinprick leak would also be visible but pressure would be maintained until coolant losses were too much. Less and less coolant would result in diminishing system pressure, loss of pressure would result in the coolant boiling at some point and we all know what that looks like.
The OP has not said that he has any coolant losses.

One responce to a member complaining of the crayon smell said that if he wanted to get rid of the crayon smell in the car he should date older girls.
