I was able to put around 1.8 L until it reached the top of the post. No coolant light yet. I've filled it a bit more after that because I didn't have anywhere to get rid of what I had left (2L in total). Hopefully that's fine. I will report back if the light comes back on. If it doesn't I won't. I will make sure I don't see any leaks as well.
When you put too much in it will blow out when it gets hot. You need some air in the tank to take up the expansion, water does not compress but air does hence the need for it. So you may see some under the car at some time.
