BTW my replacement cover/key works so well that my old back cover with the badge just snapped to the new one.
Sorry but you are confused about the functions of the SKREEM. It only verifies that the correct key is being used to start the car. Those other locking / unlocking functions you mention are handled by the central control locking pump.
