Started it up after it had ample time to cool and went a solid 10 minutes with no visible leaks or sprays. Held it at 3000 RPM to warm it up for a few minutes while I monitored. Coolant started leaking from behind the belt right after the fan turned on (not sure if coincidence or direct coloration). I think its either the water pump gasket or something with the thermostat. Any help trouble shooting is appreciated.
Thank you in advance!!
It is probably the pump that has failed, but test it yourself or get it tested as James1549 mentions.
It would be much less expensive if it was a thermostat gasket or pump gasket problem.
Are you sure that it is not a problem with a hose or hose clamp? That would be easier and cheaper problem to fix.
