Exactly! As stated in other threads, the whole point of the check engine light is to alert the techs to the fact that codes have been triggered. This should at the very least point them in the direction of the problem. Actually solving it may take a little longer as the code may just be a symptom not the root cause, but for them to just say they don't know why the CEL is on is a nonsense.
