Default help

my wife bought a cfire in 2004. for the last few months she has had to take it into the dealer because the check engine light keeps coming on. it doesn't appear to affect performance but the dealer cannot seem to figure out why and it is becoming extremely annoying. any ideas, experience?

Does the dealer have a certified Crossfire mechanic? If not find another. When the light comes on there is always a fault code with it. If the code doesn't make any sense there is a TSB to fix it.

Exactly! As stated in other threads, the whole point of the check engine light is to alert the techs to the fact that codes have been triggered. This should at the very least point them in the direction of the problem. Actually solving it may take a little longer as the code may just be a symptom not the root cause, but for them to just say they don't know why the CEL is on is a nonsense.
