Default Re: Does everyone actually use Mobil1 0W-40?

Like others, I've used the Mobil 1 0w40 product, which is a European formula for respective marques. Always find it on the shelf at Wal-Mart, both in 5 quart jugs & 1 quart bottles. Typically, as economical as any product from other main-stream synthetic brands. Nearly always much cheaper than Amsoil, Royal Purple or any other specialty brand. And like others, I install 8 quarts of oil during an oil/filter change. While the fleece filter element is not required on the NA engines, I use it because I feel (don't know) the filtration level is better than the paper filter element. With my driving habits, an oil change for me is every 2 years and getting to 7000 miles is a rarity. No issues after 11 years of ownership.
