The way you describe it, I kinda wonder if the fuel pressure isn't low / slow to build up. I'd put a pressure tester on it and turn hte key to "ON" and see if you have the 45-50 pounds you should. Also, see if it drops when you turn the engine over.

If fuel pressure is fine, get your trusty voltmeter/DMM, the service manual, and start looking at the outputs of the RCM. Look at the engine control relay output in particular, both with key ON, with key in START and while hte engine starts and dies. Is it holding up to 10.5 to 13 volts, or is it dropping?

The fact you have no codes kinda makes me think the ECM isn't being powered up completely or for very long.
