You can buy cheap junk at Walmart - any "FRS Radio" will almost work. The Midland radio I posted about in post 5 in this thread is about the best thing to get at this point, as I can't get more surplus Kenwoods right now - but I MIGHT be able to get more before the Fall Event.

DO NOT buy anything on
eBay or Amazon without messaging me here first, some, well, a lot of that stuff is not FCC accepted and is on frequencies that we don't have/use and are illegal anyway. Anything you buy at Walmart that says "FRS Radio" is compatible, cheap and crappy, but compatible, and legal. But at this point, the Midland is the best thing going, unless I can turn up more used Kenwoods for a low price - which may happen.
With the Dragon so far off, I'd hold still till we see what I can come up with.
