Heck, on a 1973 MG Midget I owned the master-cylinder was not yet divided internally into two sections. I had to replace it once and when it gave out you really noticed!
I had a midget in the late '60s: I'd be changing out the clutch every 12 months and seems I could find every thunderstorm in the state by simply letting the top down. Hence I drive a Crossfire coupe.
