Primer depends on the condition. Are you removing all the paint to the fiberglas IT IS FIBERGLAS AS i HAVE SHOWN, or are you scuff sanding to get a TOOTH on the original paint? I hope your not going to use a rattle can to paint the spoiler, I used auto URETHANE two part paint which reguires a clean spray booth like condition. In that case you need to select the primer to be compatible with the top coat.

Iam also assuming your doing a clear coat which requires getting all the paint products from the same supplier, they can be an assistant to your task. I painted the spoiler on mine to match the windshield color to tie it in, Black is not my favorite color so I decided to change it up. Enjoy the hot weekend, Woody
