If lost in a fire or flood, I'd think it would be covered. Other than that, "I lost something" is not a reasonable insurance claim in my opinion.

And before someone brings it up:
As to "it quit working", how could that be an insurance claim? If my fuel pump or ECM quits, is THAT an insurance claim?
