My backup camera aspirations come from ONLY OCCASIONALLY running into a situation where I need the extra assistance of one. Thus it's not high on my project list and I've selected a wireless camera where I'm not bothered with running a cable from back to front. Not needing to use it much means I can hide it from view almost all the time so my plan is to both keep the 4.3" screen inside the glove-box and wire it to the light inside. With a cable a few feet long which I'll normally keep tied/bound together it will be long enough to sit atop the dash for the brief seconds it will be in use.
