applied paint stripper, but had a hard time removing the paint. learned that there were several layers of blue metallic paint. it wrinkled, as is supposed to do, and kept adding more and scrapping with a spatula. on some areas eventually exposed some sort of white material that looks like plastic (not metal for sure) but am unable to determine if is fiberglass. could be, or could be any of the zillions of plastics around. will need to fill-in some areas that are uneven. perhaps some epoxy and then sand even. got some materials to finish the job. will talk about them in detail at another post.
