That's a possibility or it could be the wire going to the starter. Do a continuity check on the wire before throwing parts at it. Also, check the ground side of the starter (continuity check) to make sure you've got a good ground. I've seen others on here say that a bad starter on these cars are rare.

We're you able to get a voltage reading and duration from the "pin" in the #6 position when the key is turned to start?
