The tool used to release the pressure would be the two appendages next to your thumb; use one of them to hold the switch down and pressure should release. If it will not, (and if the PTCM is confused, it wont) then using your two fingers to yank the pump fuse, that
will release the pressure.
The tool in question is used to unlock and/or lock the tonneau lid latch during manual operation.
