Among doing (solder joints , neg batt cable to bellhousing , etc) & other preventative suggestions from here to my 47k mile newly purchased coupe , I thought I'd replace the cam sensor however I've had no problems w/ the car .
My question is , do you think it's safe to put in a "made in Taiwan" sensor from Autohaus ?
Maybe I should just put the old one back in until I can find a Bosch part , but where ?
Also get a spare crank sensor ? (Bosch)
BTW , if you want to make the existing strap from the frame to the lower bell housing look like new , put it in 1 part water & 1 part muriatic acid . Very caustic stuff , don't inhale & wear rubber gloves . Rinse w/ water & dry the strap ASAP .
