Default Autohaus Cam Sensor

Hello ,
Among doing (solder joints , neg batt cable to bellhousing , etc) & other preventative suggestions from here to my 47k mile newly purchased coupe , I thought I'd replace the cam sensor however I've had no problems w/ the car .
My question is , do you think it's safe to put in a "made in Taiwan" sensor from Autohaus ?
Maybe I should just put the old one back in until I can find a Bosch part , but where ?
Also get a spare crank sensor ? (Bosch)
BTW , if you want to make the existing strap from the frame to the lower bell housing look like new , put it in 1 part water & 1 part muriatic acid . Very caustic stuff , don't inhale & wear rubber gloves . Rinse w/ water & dry the strap ASAP .

Thankyou

Autohaus is pretty good, I've ordered from them.

But I like GermanAutoSupply.com - just DO NOT search "Crossfire", search "2003 Mercedes SLK320". Choose the Bosch items, as they now sell other brands as well.

Took your advise using the p/n off the Bosch sensor , 03 Mercedes SLK 320 inputted to German Auto --- parts shown were nothing like the sensor ?
(P/N 0261210171 on part removed from car)

2nd reply to the Pizza guy ;
Well some how (I think my interpretation of CPS) I have the crank sensor & cam sensor configurations & locations switched ? So the part I am actually messing with is the crank sensor . duh ! But I am getting pretty good @ taking the crank sensor in & out . :0)
Do you think failure of crank sensor or cam sensor is more probable ?
I will have both eventually --- maybe just install them or keep for spares

Cam sensor failures are very rare. Crank sensor failures are like flat tires - you WILL eventually replace that sensor!
I carry a crank sensor and have for six years. I've used it three times, once for my car, twice for other cars.

I see German Auto has changed their website a LOT. I'm not liking what I see.

I thought from first glance of the crank sensor , it must get pretty hot despite the skimpy heat shield so I'm going to wrap mine w/ some very high temp matting that is used in furnace fire boxes , kilns , etc & secure it w/ safety wire or maybe a thin 2024 aluminum shroud . It may prolong its function .
Thankyou all for the feedback

I "preemptively" replaced both of my sensors recently at 55k. Were working fine. Both new Bosch units make us very comfortable and now we carry the old parts with us as spares. For less than $100 it removes any concern for us and gives us known working spares. Let's keep those tires rolling.
