See the attached document. I set these with 3/8" drive torque wrench when I change the oil & filter. I buy copper crush gaskets from a local parts house to replace the copper gasket on the drain plug. And again, as others have stated, both of these only need sufficient torque to seat the respective sealing mechanisms (drain plug = crush gasket; oil filter cap = O-ring).

Torque Values: Drain Plug = 22 ft-lbs; Oil Filter & Cap = 18 ft-lbs
